It might be from the infections or do you have alergies? Or have you had a lot of ear infections, listen to loud music, or work in a job that you are exposed to alot of loudness?

I have ringing sometimes when I'm congested, but it only lasts for a few seconds, then goes away. It sounds like you have tinnitus, or "ringing in the ear". It could be caused by a number of things. You will have to see a doctor, or ear specialist, to find out exactly what is causing it. There ARE treatments for it. Talk to your doctor about it. I know it can drive you crazy! My mother had it but, after seeing her doctor, she was better. Good luck!

I have experienced them before but very seldom. The ringing in the ears is called tinnitus. It can occur in one or both ears. Aging and exposure to noise and loud music are some of the causes. I have lived in a very noisy community before. Maybe that is the reason. It happens less often to me now but I guess it is still good to consult the doctor about this ringing problem.
