I think primary education in India is quite good. Though at the graduate and post graduate level, the education system in India is not very good. Part of the problem lies due to the disconnect between the Education system and the industry.
What is your opinion of the education system in your country?
Cheers!

its crap, my favorite term is bushes no child left behind, yea even if they fail they wont be left be hind "pass em anyway".
i dont understand with all the money they are cutting in education our sole supply of new techs and ideas and the base of our country
education is the most important thing you or me can have, but the government wants us to struggle
and get into debt over student loans, its mind boggling.

why isnt education governement owned? its obviously not working on the state level.
these schools need to be checked 3 times a school year. they need to raise teacher salaries.
have you heard about all the american companies donating cheap laptops to third world countries.
we need that here!!!!!! makes me so mad, were spending millions building schools in iraq, opening swimming pools.
but swimming pools and schools are closing here, 3 public swimming pools were closed in az die to a growth of some bacteria.
i just dont undertsand what americas goal is anymore, its like bush is handing money to other countries, and hes here with a
whip in his hand making us work harder everyday to support foreigners kids, what about our kids.
they need to stop dishing out americans hard earned tax pay, to other countries.

I feel the old methods of gurukul teaching are the BEST. even as far as TAXILA, the present day Afghanistan, Iran and such places, there used to UNIVERSITIES in the format of GURUKUL, where the enthusiast need not worry about TUITION FEE and such exhorbitant expenditure.
Today's education is just GETTING CERTIFICATES. printed. lols.

BTW, the gurukul education is having a revival in some parts of India. In Kancheepuram for example they have a gurukul where in the students can go. They bind the students to a life of hard labor and discipline. The students are let off for 4 hours to study in a school catering to modern education if you like.
Regarding the Bush policy, I absolutely agree the education is for everyone rich or poor and that is why I believe that rich get more richer and poor more poorer these days.
Cheers!

Back the minorities payed with there life if the were caught learning,
i guess we all get hit in the pockets now huh, which makes no sense to me
but to say only the rich can get a quality education, the president administration doesent
care for education, look at all these school crimes. Some schools loosing creditdation so
their seniors cant graduate even if they do good.its not fair, the upcoming students get below average
education, but theyre supposed to run this country.im glad you brought ths up, cause alot of
people are over looking this issue when it should be up there with national security the economy
and enviornment

terrile in china ,we need a reform of education.we have a examination seems endless. as anxiety -makers,examination are second to none, that is beacause so much depends on it,they are the mark of sucess or failure in our soceity ,your whole feture may de decided in one fateful day,
a good education should, among other things, train you to think for yourself, the eximination system does anything but that, what has to be learnt is rigidly laid dowm by syllabus,so the student is encouraged by memorise.
the standard of education cannot be improved so long as the examination system exists

I am sorry to state that education system in any level in our country cannot even be accepted as satisfactory. There is total doldrums originated from lack of understanding in the very purpose of education in essence. Prescriptions of Tagore or Gandhijee have been abandoned long before and it has been a sorry spectacle after the persons in the chairs to take decisions and to take steps to implement them are a worthless lot. Finally at present they have succeeded to tag this 'things to be worshiped' to the immediate demand of the market to yield instant profits in terms of money only.
Most of the primary schools are in a wretched condition and no one needs labor to experience this. There is utter lack in the sincerity among the teaching staff and the people connected to the education system. Maclay of the 19th century is still the god and imitation and rotting instead of promoting free thinking and innovation everywhere. We can cite one example in order to point to what extent the plight is in our higher education. Can anyone find a singular genius ever produced from our IIT hubs despite enormous money and energy have been spent, a single nobel laurette at least ?
Enough is enough. It is time to think afresh and in the non-conventional way to sprout out the genius of the subcontinent by allowing and encouraging free thinking not tied to the do-it-now-eat-it-now concepts of the present day.

Well I agree with the primary education thing you have said, but the education after our 12th grade i.e professional college, i'll only say one thing.... "IT SUCKS ROYALLY". For eg. i got a k.t{backlog} in a subject which i taught people in my class in which they passed with good marks, i accepted it. i thought maybe i have written my answers in a wrong way. But it doesnt end here, i ordered for the photocopy of my answer sheets, those bloody dumbphuck people, the gave me dirty xerox copies, which weren't even properly xeroxed.! to top with that i gave my answerbooks for rechecking after i got the photocopy, these bloody stupid, dumb,a*s*s say that the rechecking results will come out "AFTER MY K.T{backlog} EXAMS" WTF~!?
This purely states that how incapably things are managed here in the so called education system in India and though they are praised by people!!!

I absolutely understand what you raise here. I myself once found out that a answer paper that I had personally filled during the exams suddenly turned out to be empty except for the first page!! Somebody coolly had switched the pages inside with an empty one!!
Cheers!
