What is your TYPING SPEED..!!

Hey guys and gals.. my typing speed is 30 on an average.. i can type only by looking at the keyboard so i can't seem to improve my speed... gotta learn how to type without looking at it.. how are you guys faring..?

I'm not that sure about my typing speed, but i consider myself as a moderate typist. My main job function is to key in data, which really do help to improve my typing speed. I can type without looking at the keyboard but not for a long time.

thats wonderful... atleast you don't have to look every time you type to make sure you are going for the right keys... by the way..do you do some online data entry job or something...

well i can type fast you may call it short hand typing style but on average i type 40-45 have been using the computer for some long time i think that problem in typing occurs when one tends to change the way they have been typing so keep the way you type and only try the so called typing tutors if you are so so slow!!!

i once tried one typing tutor but i found even the basic instructions difficult to follow.. it had instructions on which finger to use on which keys.. i usually use any finger i find easy to reach for a key .. i tried doing it their way but found myself lacking concentration on typing them right rather than using the right finger for right keys.. so i should probably stick to my own style for the time being..
