hi friends the whole world appears to be sick. in most of the families some one or the other is in serious condition and the others are on some medication or the other. is it not good to follow some health improving system without medicines and with exercise, diet management and food supplements? your comments please. what will you prefer?

I read on a health food sight that because of the chemicals used in food production, not just prepared foods, but in the growing of the vegetables, and fruit, the sprays used in the fields, that the vitamin and mineral content is not as good as it used to be. That is why our ancestors could just eat bread and meat and few vegetables during winter and be healthy. Even the meat today because the cows and fowl are in barns or grain fed, has certain things lacking. So unless one can get free range chicken, and buy grass fed cattle (more expensive) go back to butter instead of margarine, one has to go to the health food store and buy supplements. It is an advantage to living in the country, but some people because of health issues, bad hearts, etc. and the need to get to a hospital as quick as possible or work issues cannot live in the country and cannot afford a large garden. So the rest of us have to go to the health food store and get the supplements and some cannot get that because of the cost. They are on tight budgets so they are not as healthy. Do you know that up to 1945 there were no additives added to food?

You are absolutely right. Our so called improvement in medical science ect does not seem worth of anything. When I see my granny, she is healthier at the age of 80 then what I am in my twenties. Day by day we all are simply worsening our health. Due to the fast paced life and so many demand to meet, we do not eat healthy. But evenif we try to eat healthy, the food is laden with peticides and other chemicals, which we are ignorant of. The air we breathe is polluted. So the so called human progress is actually human disaster. But i don't think any thing can be undone now. Things will detiorate in the future. The nature has already issued its warning. We can see global warming and floods, Tsunamis can be seen in most of the places. Its all the fault of humans. Hope we wake up one day.

Hello,Kushank! You are right, the whole world is experiencing health problems. The reason is our busy lifestyle.Presently we have accepted the instant foods or the fast foods due to busy lifestyles of majority of the women. However, these convenience foods which have preservatives and chemicals contribute to an array of lifestyle disorders like diabetes, blood pressure and obesity and other diseases. So it is better for us to revert back to our age old traditional freshly home cooked balanced foods to get relieved of such diseases. If we follow this there will be no need of depending on medicines and food supplements.Thanx.

yes dear bbsr13, the entire world is suffering because of industrial wastes being put up in the environment, the vehicular pollution, pollution from the radiations due to latest technologies, and the food cycle is disturbed in such a way that the chemicals are entering into our system in greater quantities than ever before!! so we must take care of our health better than before . and where and how can we go back to our traditional systems in the fast life that we have chosen for ourselves!!

hi dear kushank55 good food is important for all of us. balanced food concept we used to study in the school books has remained in the books and when it comes to eating, we immediately jump for the junk food and without giving a thought to our health! and the food supplements are necessary since the food that we eat does not seem to contain the nutrients!!

We have to give some attention to to our environment and health rather searching for material things. the uman intractions is heavily stopped by machines like TV, computer etc and our leisure time also get reduced due to our work and stress etc. Please take good rest and healty food. regular exercising habits may reduce of ourself feelling sick

yes dear trv231. hard work , physical exercise have been the outdated elements and more machines have overtaken the activity part!! so the importance of exercise is more than ever before!! the food is adulterated and mixed with the atibiotics, insectisides and weedisides. all poisons. so what ever we eat, it adds to more poison into our system. these toxins must be removed!! happy mylotting and good health!!

I agree the world is sick, the whole planet is sick, the soil, the water, the oceans, the animals, the plants are all sick along with the people. Food and diet is useless in the face of the poisoning of the planet because of greed.

I think the processed food industry has sabotaged the nation's health. We are so busy we don't take time to cook a good meal in a healthy method from scratch, so we don't get vital nutrients in the right balance. I agree that prevention of disease through good diet and exercise is much better than indulging ourselves until we're to the point that we must seek medical treatment.

hi dear thebeaddoodler. very good thoughts in this fast world who is thinking about all the things about health. well the fast food has proved to be the real culprit which had attracted the youth so far. healthy cooking the way it used to be done is an outdated culture!! so we need to do some thing right now before it is too late. the gym culture is also not healthy. the modern gadgets and the air conditioning may attract us , but it ca not get us the natural park , the greeneries and the dew!etc. available in the garden and parks! happy mylotting and good health!!!

hi there, i think you are right. that's because the food that is being consumed by the people now a days is not rich in proteins and other essentials. all of them prefer to eat only junk food which is definitely not good for health. the diet if managed will help to improve the health. happy mylotting!

Yes I completely agree. People tend to involve into shortcuts. Pills seem to them an easier and faster way to improve health. It just cures the problem for time being and doesn't really solve the root cause. Its always good to have a control on what you eat, when you eat and how you eat. Merely by having good and healthy food on a regular basis, most of the problems will vanish. I would definitely prefer good food and sufficient exercise for a healthier life.
