My second anniversary is coming up, and it is my turn to plan the celebration. Last year my husband took me to San Francisco. This year however we are on a tighter budget. I was hoping for some ideas that aren't too expensive.

We live in Utah, pretty close to Salt Lake City. Our anniversary is in October, and its a little cold but to early to go skiing. We do have mountains and a lake.

oki....dnt let him know that you remember your aniversary.. hmmm i guess, getting out on a cold nite will not be a good idea... i think you should plan it at your home... fix everything before he come to home... prepare a room where you have lots of candles, and petals of rose all over the floor...and prepare a cake yourself if you can.... wear your best clothes... surprize him with all this stuff and also prepare the dinner your self... you can play some very romantic song too... and you can have some intimate time with him.. talk about the times you people were married, wht you people did in the early days... do all you can... it wont cost you much as well

I and my husband had just celebrated our first anniversary. We just celebrated it simple. No going somewhere or trip to somewhere, we just stayed at home cook somthing, exchanging cards and presents. And have a family walks on the dale. Well in your case, coz you really have a budget for your anniversary why not having a dinner date on the romantic place. Which is along the beach hotel or restaurant. happy posting.

thanks for posting.. I believe that is what we did, though more like a mountain resort, since we don't live by the water... sadly :(

I'm not sure where you live, or if it is even possible to do, but are there any kind of ferrry cruises where you live? You know, just eat dinner on one of those cruises that circle aways, and then bring you back after an hour or two of dinner and chatting? We don't have those here, but I've heard about them in other states.

That sounds really romantic. Unfortunately we live in Utah, so I don't think we have anything like that, maybe they have something on Utah lake, I'll defiantly look into it... Thanks.
