Are Indian news channel more about sensationalism than actual news

I have seen the Indian news channels on TV including NDTV, Headlines TV, Times Now CNN IBN really go down in quality. They seemed very obsessed with presenting everything in dramatic fashion and make it sensational. The style of presenting is purely for creating sensationalism than accurate facts and news. They make broad assumptions and present it like facts and do NOT care about individuals privacy and personal lives. Even the bombings etc showed this. Each news channel kept claiming that they had "exclusive coverage" and were the "first to break the news". They seem to be vying for TRPs. I agree that they have great journalists and unique ideas, but they seem to have all lost their focus. Compare this with BBC and CNN internationally and there is a whale of difference - in professionalism, presentation, accuracy and actual content.
