Bear with me on this one.... Pretend its the 1st of January of what ever year... so when is the first time you visit the beach for this year?? We always visit the beach on the 1st of January every year, wel lfor the last four years and for next year as well. We always go to the pantomine on New Years day and we always go to the same theatre which is at the seaside. So we take a packed lunch, eat it in the car, take a brisk walk along the sea front, go and watch the panto, when we come out we always go for a fish and chip supper in the cafe and then come home. Its a brill way to start the new year.

Hi Anne18 That does sound like a great way to start the year and maybe I should start doing that with my boys. As we usually are down in Cornwall for the New Year and you are never to far away from a beach when you are in Cornwall eh? You get these mad people though who always go for a dip in the sea on New Years Day, it's enough to put your body into shock!!

If it was the beginning of the year then the first time we would visit the beach would be in the august as that is when we have our holiday booked for! We do not really get to the beach much, just when we go away.

That sounds delightful Anne18. I love pantomimes and fish and chips are my favourite food, especially the ones that I get in the UK as they give loads of them in the chippers. They are great value for money. I missed going to the beach this year as I was busy moving house. I usually like to go during the summer and pick cockles. I am afraid it would be too cold for me at any other time of year.

We always watch the Rose Parade in California USA and then there is college football all day long, we don't get dressed until we have to go feed animals in the afternoon. Our football is not the same game as your football in England. But we have snacks and chips all day so i don't have to cook and in the evening we have what's in the crock pot.
