Have you ever seen something and you know, you want to try it? Well, I have seen that a sports center near our place is having an introduction class in Indoor Rock Climbing this weekend so I signed up for it. I have seen some friends do it but I did not have the guts to do the same. Now, since I've seen that it is going to be an introduction, meaning for beginners, so I decided to give it a try.
The class that I was in only had 6 students in it. So good for us since all of us would have time to practice everything that they would tell us without worrying about the time each of us takes. I was able to climb twice and both times have been pretty successful. Meaning: I didn not fall nor got hurt. I learned how to be the "belayer" too. The belayer is the one who holds the rope while the climber climbs. He/She is like your safety net. It is interesting to know that like in any team sport, climbers and belayers have to work together so as to have a successful climb. Also, I was able to meet new pople, which is great too. Although, I am not sure if I am going to see them again. Well, we'll see.
That had been my experience with indoor rock climbing. What about you? Have you tried this before? Share your experience!

There's actually a class for that? LOL Here in the Philippines we sign waver forms when we want to "play" with Indoor Rock Climbing. Ofcourse we have the harness/belayer and everything but we figure it all out on our own. Then we just climb. The last time I went was 2 years ago. I kinda miss it now but I don't have time to go the the sports complex where they have it. There's also a much simpler version - Wall Climbing. I loved that, we had that in the mall when I was in high school.
