I am feeling that way now. I am in a lot of debt and I feel like I will never get out of it. But I have been talking to friends and family as well as researching all options and may have found a solution. I figured it is better to tackle a problem by researching all the facts and then coming up with a solution.

Good to know. I think when you have a problem try to find the solution rather than just feeling down. Everyone has problems and we just have to solve them. We can even find help from our friends and family.

Yes, very much. I think that everyone feels hopeless and helpless at some point, even if they do not admit it. Some might not realize it, but I do not believe that anyone has ever felt as though they are always on top of everything. I did feel kind of hopeless over the summer and at the end of the last year, but I'm feeling a lot better these days, though I do have ups and downs and I have my off days. I found that it helps to make a clean start, and tell yourself you're going to do everything differently, and that you're going to be happy. Decide that you're going to be happy! Tell someone you're going to be happy! Just do it! You have so much more control than you think, you will find.

Thanks! I guess we should really have a positive outlook in life. We might feel hopeless and down sometimes, but I think we should look forward to a new day full of hope and be happy.

I hope you don't take this wrong but I believe that hopelessness comes from faithlessness. I have been in some horrible positions in my life and without faith, that is my own and/or the faith of others, I would have never found a solution. Sometimes there is no solution, just a matter of moving on. For example, I was in a very bad motorcycle accident 25 years ago. I had a two year old son at home. Mom didn't show up for over three weeks. Who would care for him? My family was 2000 miles away. My injuries kept me in ICU and a medically induced coma for about four days. I was not really into my faith at that time but many of my friends and all of my family were. There were over one thousand candles lit for me and my friends and family made sure I knew that. I did survive the injuries, and beat all the odds. The doctor said I was truly a miracle. So it was by the faith of others that I was given hope. I walk with a slight limp still, frequently have pain, and it's ok because I'm still here, leg and all! Have a wonderful night!

I never felt hopeless when I was faced with problems. I know there is always a way out from every problem. Just face it with courage. There is always a solution. That too will pass. Identify steps to do and alternatives in case one would not work. Learn to accept whatever the result may be.
