I like to read lying down. I cannot read sitting upright straining the back. That way I read only study material, all my leisure books reading is done lying down. I also take smaller management related books to trains and autos which involve long distance travels That makes my travelling bearable.

It depends on how I feel. There are times that I feel more comfortable reading lying down, and other times, I prefer to read sitting up. It varies from day to day.

Seriously I am lazy - so I would enjoy my reading, while I laze on big fat cushions, on the sofa, or the bed. The bed is the best - if I feel sleepy, I will not have to move myself. I can't read in a car or bus - too many turns and bumps, and it gives me a headache. However it's okay in a train or plane.

I like to snuggle up on the sofa, and legs tucked under, get involved in a book. I shouldn't sit like this though, as my legs hurt so much when I go to move. My favorite place for reading has to be in bed. I can read sitting up with a couple of pillows plumped up behind me, but I prefer to lay down on m side, propping the book against the pillows to read. But then when I do this I usually fall asleep quicker and don't get far in the book.
