which software is the best?"

I love both XP and Vista. XP is faster than vista,but vista have some feature XP do not have. In my mind,Vista will take XP's place in a few years.

well, i would go with xp. 98 is outdated, many applications and games wont run on windows 98. it is also slow when compared with windows xp and vista. while comming to vista, its very heavy on the system. it use a lot of system resources. we need a minimum 1gb ram to run windows vista. where as xp is very light on the system, i fell xp faster than vista. vista gets struck for me frequently. i dont know weather this happens to all not. so, i prefer windows xp

98 sux cuz it's so outdated, but was great when it was new. I have xp and it works fine for me. I haven't had much experience with vista, but it does have some pretty cool features that xp doesnt have. I don't know what is best. Honestly I don't think that it makes much difference.

if you talk about the credibility and ease of use then Xp is the best. and it does not slow down your pc plus it has a wide range of hardware t connect to while if you talk about interface then you all know Vista is the leader and i too have vista but their is an ease issue with it. whenever you install a new software the pop ups!!! plus hardware issues...the older hardware don't work with it and its GUI is a bit slower if you have a lot of gadgets on your desktop so i love Xp but i have both on my laptop(ha ha)
