Anyone been to Baguio lately? What's the garbage status there?

We are planning to go to Baguio on a few months with my kids. I searched on this topic but no one has posted the latest status yet. Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines. We are planning to go there on February, still very early but it's our usual way of planning, very ahead of time because we are going with our kids. There are lots of things to consider from the tickets to the reservations. And we are planning to go there on the Flower Festival so to make it sure, we are planning very ahead of time. Is the garbage problem minimal already or do we still have to have second thoughts? I will really appreciate any comments on this.

Hello, I suppose you're not from the Philippines? Baguio's a great place to visit if you enjoy fresh mountain air. The people are one of the friendliest in the world ( I swear!), the food's great ( you might gain some weight here), and the views are always amazing anywhere you look. :) I've been there many times before and have never really considered trash to be a problem. I don't know what you're talking about actually. From what I remember, it's a very clean and safe environment. Some areas may not have electricity and hot water, but there's no garbage problem. I hope this answers your question. Enjoy your trip and don't forget to take your kids horseback riding!!

Hi mimico, yes, I am! I'm a full-blood Filipino and have gone to Baguio thrice but we were there three years ago. Are you from Baguio or did you go there recently? You can find the discussion thread about the garbage problem on Baguio on the past months. I am worried to find them when we go there next year since just I said, we are traveling with my kids. If you happen to be there at these moments and you said that the place is already clean, then that's really good news for us
