Who will choose the right course for your Child- Parents or Child??

We parents want the best for our children,sometimes we have dreamed on them to be a doctor, engineer, architect and etc.. sometimes we want them to be of whom we did not reach, we want them to be what we want before for us or we want them to be like us. We cannot deny the fact that there are parents who decided od what their kids will be, I have known some, and usually those children who belong to a known family of either doctor, architect or attorney. their children usuallyt follow what their parents want and when they finish it they take the course that they really want. I have 2 sons now and i and my husband are both engineers alot of people says that our kids should be engineers too since their parents are both engineers but I dont want to dictate them of what will they be or what course they will take, I want them to decide what they really want and as a mother i will support them as long as i can. When i was in high school my mom told me to get accounting but accounting is not really in my heart though my mom want me to get an accounting she permit me to take what I really want, so now that i have kids i'll do the same way, i'll just let them choose what they want to be.. How about you, will you be the one who will decide for your kids course or let him/her choose what he/she really want??
