independent life...!!!

I prefer to be independent. Since I split from my son's dad, 13 years ago, I have learned to live for myself and provide for both my son and I through work. I have independently worked my way up in my career, working and studying hard to get where I am, and its nice knowing that I got myself here, without relying on others. I hope that my son, will grow up to be independent too. He is now 15 and is quite independent already which is good. I rarely rely on family or friends for help, although they are always supportive and here to help if ever needed, as I am with them too.
