About the first of the year I will be out of a job and out of health insurance, I have 2 medical conditions I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I am under medical care for both. Can anyone give me some good tips on what to so when you don't have any medical insurance? I will not be able to get medical care no my prescription without the aid of the insurance? Any ideas.

Chevee, I represent a company that has alternatives to prescription medications for the ailments that you have. They also offer a health savings plan at a very affordable price. Let me know if this is something that is of interest to you and I'd be glad to assist you.

One Alternative - which I'd do in a heartbeat if I needed medical insurance!
I'd definetly apply for medicaid because it's there for this very reason, for one's who don't have any medical insurance and are unemployed or don't make enough to afford health insurance. It's a whole lot better than going into debt, that's for sure, especially medically for it can sky rocket in no time. I wish you the best of luck!!

Hi Chevee, Our coutry here is completley different from yours, I would have thought all those years of working and paying your dues you would have been entitled to national health services, that is what we have and we don't pay that much for our mendications, as I am on benifits I don't pay for my medications at all, is there some sort of scheme in your country for such things like medications? could you speak to your doctor about it? maybe some Mylotters fron your countrey can help you. I thought the U.S was the same as U'K Hugs Tamara

Hi Chevee. You must have some kind of medical care and medical insurance. If you can't afford to keep your coverage then you need to check and see if you are eligible to get help from whatever state you live in. I live in NYS. I am currently on their Temporary Public Assistance because I am temporarily disabled and unemployed. If you can't afford medical insurance it is very difficult to get medical care of any type and therefore precriptions are almost impossible to pay for because they are extremely expensive. This is the problem that I had when my coverage ran out when I became unemployed. I had to try to keep up the coverage for as long as I could because I also have extremely high blood pressure & high cholesterol which require 3 medications per month along with some other medications that I take for osteoarthritis and anxiety and depression. I would be in serious trouble if the state wasn't paying for my heath coverage right now. When they stop I don't know what I will do because all the medications that I take I HAVE to take! The states usually go by your income and how much money you have. If you have any type of stocks, bonds, etc. or money in the bank they will not help you. You will have to maintain your own coverage and pay for your prescriptions yourself. What I can recommend is to pick the lowest medical plan which is and HMO. That's what I have and I love it. The doctors are top notch. I was a medical assistant so I know alot about medical insurance. If you would like to talk to me I would be happy to tell you all that I know. My pm's here at mylot don't send. I can receive but can't send out so if you want you can send me a pm with your regular email addy and I will answer any questions that you have if I can.
