Favorite Parts In The Game?

I'm a really big fan of Chrono Trigger. As a matter of fact, this is my favorite game of all time even to this day, thirteen years after its release for the SNES. I'm not quite sure why this game has always stuck with me. Probably because I love the time travel aspect and I love all the characters so much. Anyone else cite this game as their favorite game ever? Even if not, who is your favorite character in the game? When is your favorite period in the game? What else in the game do you really enjoy? I'd have to say Magus is my favorite character. Robo used to be when I was a kid and the game first came out, but over the years Magus has taken his place. I remember it was really hard for me to kill him when that point in the game comes so I could see one of the endings. 2300 A.D. is probably my favorite period in the game. Although when you think about it, the sidequest you do in 2300 A.D. is rather pointless. Not because you can't accomplish anything from beating it, but once you defeat the final boss, then that future never happens anyway. lol Anyway, I look forward to hearing from fellow fans. Feel free to add anything you'd like to say that I didn't ask or mention too.

This is one of my favorite games! We share the same favorite character in the game. He's really cool and you have no idea how happy I was when I finally got to recruit him to join me in the game. I jumped with so much joy! My favorite period in the game is the dark ages, 12,000 BC. Ah... The good old days. I wish game developers would create another game as epic as this.

Yeah, I remember when I was trying to get a lot of the different endings and their variations, I had a really hard time with fighting and having to kill Magus at that point in the game when you get to choose. I hated having to kill my favorite character lol.

Ahh good times.. Got this game when I was a little kid. I remember playing it the first time with no interest whatsoever but got hooked after just a couple of minutes. I have to say my favorite character is Frog/Kaeru maybe an odd choice for some but yeah saying that, one can guess my favorite timeline is 600 A.D, I just love the setting, quests, story and sidequests on that era. I've played the PSX version of this and loved the added animated scenes, only annoying thing is the PSX's loading time. I also heard about the one on the Nintendo DS and am planning to buy a DS just to play it. I could go on for days just talking about this game and after 15 years after its release and dozens of RPGs I've played.. I can say that this is the best and most memorable one I played. To all RPG gamers that can read this and haven't played this I recommend this game give it a shot and trust me you'll thank me after.

My fave character has to be Chrono. He's the main character, and once levels are maxed, Crono's final attack does more damage than Magus's! Also, Magus doesn't really have any decent single focus attacks, so when you face bosses that you only want to attack certain parts (like the Lavos Spawn), he's not that good. I also really like using Ayla, because she's so strong, and can be great on bosses, becuase of it. I still love this game, myself. Although from all the character songs, I like Frog's. I don't think I can pick just one time.

I missed this one on the Super NES, but luckily I had Mario RPG to fill the void. When it was released for DS, I picked it up without hesitation and played it through in a just a couple of sessions. It's an awesome game, and one of my favorite 2-D rpgs. I think Frog is probably my favorite character. While he's a supporting character, he seems to have an even more interested backstory than Chrono himself. Not to mention he's got some of the coolest combo moves. I always love the part where he finally gets the Masamune. Something I found really cool about the game is how you get the chance to go right after the boss before you're even halfway through the story. It's much more rewarding to explore the different time periods though and see how all the events have shaped the world through the ages. Great game. Anyone who hasn't played it should pick it up on DS. It's the same as the original, but you can play it anywhere!
