AAAARggghh!!! MY old Tv set its a console Tv is dying a slow death here, all weekend long, Color would be on, then color is off, goes to Black & white Color ON, COLOR OFF, color ON, color off,....drove me nuts!!! and of COURSE MOST NEW SHOWS START TONIGHT!!! FRICK & FRACK IT ALL ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! I really SHOULD NOT complain the tv set is 31 yrs. old No joke bought it when I was 16 yrs old for only $300.00, my Dad nearly had a cow!!! but that big old TV has been on so many moves with me these past 31 yrs. like I said I should NOT complain but dang it all, ((sob)) my new shows start tonight, with the luck I have the picture tube might just finish itself out right in the middle of one of my shows, then the whole world will hear me screaming and yelling..LOL! I would I would I would!!! Addicted to TV?? YEP! GUILTY AS CHARGED!!! I freely admit it! in fact I want to see shows on CBS, NBC & above all else DANCING WITH THE STARS!!! I never ever got to see this show which I love until I moved to town last year...I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! I couldn't get ABC to come in on my antenna when I lived out in the country so yeah whatever happens I mostly will be watching shows in Black & white, until it just dies off; the old set had its picture tube replaced like 18 or 19+ years ago; I remember cause I was living in a small apartment on a second floor stupid tv guy wanted me to bring in my set...UH NOOOOooo its a big console Dude and I live on the second floor and there's no way, no way!!! I've no money to even see about them trying to fix my picture tube, not sure if anyone still does it here actually, would probably be just as much to buy a small new one, which I don't have money for that either, but I figured if its gonna happen its gonna go out right when my shows start and sure enough looks like its gonna happen that way, my other big old console quit on me 2 months ago...$$#$##@@!!!! (sigh)!! somedays its just not a good idea to get up outta bed ya know? poor old 31 year old TV sure has been used a lot over the years my poor old baby is all dinged up from so many moves, and scratched up and it doesn't even roll anymore...LOL! You have to DRAG the dang thing when moving...but I bet there ain't very many if any out there that could say the same for their tv's...I know they don't make ANYTHING that good anymore...nothing lasts like this old set did..pity they don't make GOOD PRODUCTS anymore!

NO TV?!?!?! Oh no, I don't know what I would do without a TV. I am so looking forward to new shows too. I already have my DVR set to record the Biggest Loser tomorrow night so I can watch the 2nd night of Dancing With the Stars. I really do like both of those shows. And Survivor and Amazing Race will start up this week and weekend also. Not sure what brand TV you have that has lasted you for so long but when you do get a new one you need to check into getting that brand again. hahaha I agree, things are just thrown together now days and don't last long at all. I sure hope your TV can hang in until you can get another one.

My 31 year old Tv is a Magnavox, one of the first ones when they come out to be cable ready..LOL! the poor old girl she just has had WAY too much use all these years!!! the next door neighbors kid when she first came over, she's like WHAT KIND OF TV IS THAT???? LMAO! she didn't know how to turn it on either, I had to show her where the KNOB was on it..so now she thinks its cool to come over here and TURN ON my tv...GGGEEZZ!!!

You could check www.freecycle.org - see if there is one in your town, join, and ask for a t.v. I give and get lots of stuff through Freecycle.

Hi Shawna: that's a good idea, I think Wendy, aka {Jerzgirl) even told me about this place once last year or maybe it was something else its great advice either way, I doubt if my small town has this but I will check it out; I emailed a couple of people on craigslist.com.. a couple of them are pretty cheap but also told them I' couldn't buy it until my payday on the 3rd...**snort** that's a long ways off tonight, I've been telling myself all day long, I will survive tonight by missing out on my CBS shows ...I can always catch the reruns...my first choice to watch tonight of course is Dancing with the Stars, and record NBC, HEREO'S starts tonight and I'm not missing that, so it will be recording so long as the old Tv hangs in there...(G)! thanks again for the tip!!
