I think that Asia is amazing because there is such a lot to see. I have been to the lovely city of Singapore, explored Sumatra and some of Malaysia. I have visited the superb city of Hong Kong. I have done some island hopping in the Maldives. In the future I would like to see the Taj Mahal in India, the Great Wall in China, go island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines, see the coastline in Thailand and see the temples in Japan. Have you seen any places in Asia? Where in Asia would you like to see in the future?

I have been to Singapore. Great place! I only thought the gvernment there is quite scary. I have also been to Bankok. It was very exiting. We went on sone excursions around Bankok as well. There are many places I would very much like to see in Asia. I do however have a problem with the level of pollution and things related to that. i also have trouble travelling as a tourist in some cpountries due to the governments there. I think maybe part of it has to do with me not beeing all that well. maybe when I am back to my old self the poluution etc would not bother me as much. I would like to see Taipei. And I wish China would fulfill the uman rights charter - I'd love to travel in China.

I have heard Singapore described as a 'fine' place and think that is fitting. I was careful not to feed the monkeys there. I really like it there so visited it three times. I would love to go to Bangkok and if I did I can imagine all the souvenirs I would buy. Some countries in Asia are amazing but have a harsh government. Yes, pollution can be a problem and this is a shame for the environment. The Chinese officials are not known for their kindness. It would be wonderful to visit China. I hope that you will have a trip to China and to Taiwan my friend.

Thanks! I hope you get to travel more in Asia too :-) Bankok, and surroundings, was a great place to shop. My Mom found lots of good and really cheap clothes. We also bought some electronics. And there were so many high quality craft items to buy. The markets were great, and people were friendly and helpful.

I am sure Macau is fascinating. I really enjoyed my time in Hong Kong and surprisingly I stayed in a quiet spot on top of a mountain at a youth hostel. I view at night was awesome. I hope that you go to Singapore and Thailand in the future.

Asia is by far my most treasured region on earth! I feel strangely at home in Asian countries and always have. Although my parents are Australian And British repsectively I was actually born in Asia so maybe this has something to do with the affinity I feel for it? Some of the places I have been to are the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India and Sri Lanka and I have stopped off briefly at a few others as well. I would love to explore China in the future and also Mongolia.

Your parents were traveling or living in Asia when you were born James, so that was exciting. Yes, this fact may have something to do with your affinity with Asia. I imagine that Sri Lanka is a fascinating little island. Vietnam must be an amazing country to visit. The Philippines looks very appealing in travel books. I hope that you will ride on the train from Beijing to Ulan Bator.

I would love to go to Asia to see the beautiful areas such as Thailand. I would love to go to some of the high-end shopping districts in Asia, or maybe go on vacation on the beaches. Is a flight there expensive? (From the US) I define expensive as more than $500 USD.

I think Asia is an amazing place to... not becaus i am Asian... but because that is the truth... in the Philippines alone... one will find places... animals... and plants that are quite unique... I have been to Malaysia... and was inside the somewhat world's largest bird sanctuary... and i literally walked with peacocks and ostridges... and that was quite an adventure... so i agree with you... there is so much to see and discover in Asia...

I am happy to hear that you like Asia. People all like the difference, such as the different culture, food, construction etc. We are curious to know more. Such as we are interested in Europe because it's quite different from here. I have traveled to many places in China. If in the future I will travel to an Asian country, I think one of them will be Thailand because of their wonderful foods and nice beaches:) I love China

There are beautiful places, variety culture and the food is just amazing. From roti canai, satay, nasi lemak etc all taste good. The people are also friendly. Almost every one at Malaysia know to speak English. Therefore I think there will be no problem in communication.

I think the word: "Exotic Asia" will stand true here for you as you have visited some of the places in Asia. Having been traveling quite a fair bit myself, I cannot help but to encourage you to explore further. I have visited Thailand on many occasions in the course of my work and I must say that other than their capital Bangkok, there are much more to go around like Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui for their beaches. Hatyai, Chiangmai and Chiangrai for their rustic city life with an equal fair amount of good shopping and sightseeing. Singapore is staging the F1 this year and would be interesting to see when they have their casinos. Relatively a very clean city and a very accessible place to Indonesia's resort islands like Bintan and Batam. Malaysia's Johore where it is considered by many locals a shopping and holiday paradise. And catching a budget airline there could even bring you to the exotic Penang and Langkawi (Malaysia) and Cebu (Philippines) and Bali (Indonesia). I do not see why you should have any hesitation over visiting China. Especially, when they had just successfully hosted the Olympics. There is not much of a issue as I have already been to much of China, Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and many more. The Chinese are relatively friendly and hospitable. It is just that they are rather more conservative and introvert at times. I would encourage you if you are young and robust in health to take a Silkroad holiday. I can assure you an experience you will never forget. I have done the actual route and would be planning to do the reverse route. It is said that the reverse route will reveal our ancestries. Thrilled yet?

Hi Maximax, I've been to Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore and Philippines. I really enjoy Bangkok, Thailand - the food is good, shopping fantastic and the people friendly! The other place I like is Bali in Indonesia - beautiful sun & sea! I've been to Shanghai and Hongkong; and would want to visit the places of historical fame like the Great Wall, Forbidden City in Beijing and the Terracotta Warriors in Xian. The other place I would love to explore is the Angkor Wat in Siam Reap.

yeah your right, there's much to see in asia. Beautiful landmarks, beaches, shopping malls and warm weather.I wish that one day i will be back to Philippines, I miss the sunshine and the beach. The hills and green valleys the beuatiful islands. I just don't like in the city very crowded, noisy and traffic. I want to visit sometimes in Maldives i heard its a beautiful place and got beautiful beaches too. Japan also is one of the most beautiful country in asia, i want to see the sakura time. Hope you can travel to the places you like in the future.
