Are men exceptionally judgmental toward women?

I often hear men make judgmental comments regarding women. The way they look, the things they eat, their parenting, the way they drive. Do you believe men judge women more harshly than they do other men?

I don't think all men do that. More often, i find women being more judgemental than men. Although most of the time, when men do judge, it is base on lame sort of things like the appearance and such. At least thats what I encounter with most men i know.

I agree that women can be very judgmental of each other. It just seems to me that men's judgments run deeper than just a passing observation. I am sure not all men are this way, maybe not even most. I think men have an idea of what women should be. For instance, some men have very strong opinions of what a "good mother" should be, where they don't seem to have much to say about what a "good father" should be.

I guess it would depend because there are men who do this and men who do not so it varies. I have encountered many times with close people like my daughter's father, brothers, fathers, uncles, and some friends make negative comments refering to women, whether it be about their driving, things that are eaten, parenting, and many other things and what I say to them is well there may be many things they do that one may not like as a women but hey we have to accept it because we all have different views and opinions.
