When Barack Obama started his quest for the whitehouse he did so with the statement of being a "new kind" of politician! The following article points out the hypocrisy of Barack Obama and just how far he and his campaign are willing to go to win in November! Enjoy! http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/015/586pbxqj.asp

Hello Liscampll, If I may inquire: Why would you have agreed to respond to this discussion if you are unwilling to commit to familiarizing yourself with the points of the discussion? You chose to respond here. Yet, you are challenging the original poster to prove or disprove a premise before you'll become an informed respondent on the subject matter? Perhaps this is an effort toward provacateurism? I honestly don't know your motivation. Although, I will say that I find it inappropriate behavior. Opinions are our own. If presented respectfully, then they should always be respected, even if we disagree. However, conduct is another matter entirely. Isn't it the responsibility of the respondent to fully read the original post, and any linked article within the post before commenting on the nature of the discussion? Perhaps I'm old school, but it seems rather rude of you to place conditions on another's time and effort, as you have here. Why bother responding at all? It's a matter of courtesy and respect, Liscampll.

Ladyluna, thanks for asking! I'll tell you why, politicains lie. There I've said it! To point out each and every lie by the both of them and their running mates would take a novel. I think people get so wrapped up in smear that they forget that the issues are the most important part of this campaign. Not directed at all to the OP, but this board is filled with the same crap that has been bebunked for months. It's still being spewed as it were truth. I could post 100 links from every left-wing website showing every time the McCain camp has lied. Instead of posting this one said this, nah nah nah nah boo boo stuff, tell me why you support McCain. Do you like his healthcare policy, why? How about his tax plan? His energy plan, what's so great about it? Tell me. Our country is collapsing. Our economy is shot, energy is deemed a "crisis", education is a joke. But let's discuss who has lied the most and not who will fix it. I noticed that you responded twice to this discussion and haven't read the article either. That's the pot calling the kettle black. In other words, don't knock Obama for something McCain himself has done.

IMO I think that Obama is beginning to show his true colors and they are not very honorable. So far 99% of McCain statement's have been checked and double checked only to prove they have been completely true of taken out of context. The same cannot be said of Obama. I am so disappointed that the Democratic Party had chosen such a person to be their nominee. I cannot have any respect for a person with the character of Obama.

Whitheather, you know I'm a McCain supporter but we have to be realistic here. Both of them have told their share of lies and exaggerations. I'm only saying this because I don't want republicans to be accused of the same thing I constantly accuse the democrats of. They think Obama is the messiah who never lies and can do no wrong. I'm sure everyone saw that with the ridiculous thread zydecokitten made claiming Obama never lied and ignoring proof of his many, many lies.

Without lies, Obama would not have a campaign left. I cannot even fathom that the democrats would propose such a man for the Office of the President. djbtol

Tanskr I know you are but at least McCain's lies are IMO not so blatantly obvious as Obama's. I do take every thing they both say with "a pinch of salt" but Obama's supporters take his word as gospel. I think there must be a new Bible just for the gospel according to Obama.

Ladyluna, Thanks for the comment. I totally agree with you, as usual! I believe as the days go by toward Nov. 4th we will see more and more of the true Obama and the old Chicago "thug" politics!

They are both politicians who are manoevering for political advantage to try and win an election. Both of them have twisted things to try and score a hit on their opponent. For one side to say my politician tells the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth whilst the other side just lies lies lies is simply not credible. This is probably because they are so partisan so that they cannot see any fault in their candidate and only see fault in their opponent. All politicians twist the truth, exaggerate, omit facts not conducive to their arguments, etc. They rarely lie outright but it may be this election is worse than previous ones (not entirely convinced about this, political rancour and mudslinging has been going on for quite some time) The point is to put all this stuff to one side, decide what are the issues important to you, find out where the candidates stand on these issues, and then vote accordingly.

It just go to show that Obama is a liar. There are plenty of articles that show Obama has been taking advice and who he has been taking it from. McCain has the answers, and Obama has empty rhetoric, lies, a willing media, and Biden. He has continually surrounded himself by special interests, Marxist, criminals, and terrorists. He offers nothing but corruption, socialism, and division... and is part of the problem. He is not the solution.

Destiny, Thanks for the comment. I agree totally, he is part of the problem already and if elected will only serve to exacerbate it!

You know that the guy who wrote this article is the same guy who made up connections between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, connections that even the Bush administration has presently admitted do not exist? http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/378fmxyz.asp?ZoomFont=YES But yes, keep on using people like him as your sources--it only makes it that much clearer how desperate you are to smear Obama. It's sad, really.

Grrr. I don't know what makes me angrier - the fact that Obama does these things or the fact that millions of Americans fall for it. Or that the media has been so hypnotized that they don't give a doggone about whether Obama tells truth or lies. Grrr.

I have not fallen for it. I can see that Obama is merely a liberal democrat pushing a socialist agenda. The change and hope speeches are merely a crock! America needs to do the right thing and keep Obama Hussein out of the Whitehouse. djbtol
