tragedies vs comedies

Do you like shakespeare's tragedies or comedies better? Why? What is your favorite play and why do you like it so much. What about it makes it your favorite? My favorite play is Macbeth. I love it becasue Lady Macbeth is such a strong female character. Yeah she's greedy and kind of evil but I love the way she was able to manipulate her husband into killing someone.

Honestly, I think it is a difficult choice to choose between Shakespeare's tragedies and comedies. There are strong aspects and weaker aspects to Shakespeare's comedies and tragedies.
One thing that I do think that Shakespeare did very well for his time was to write strong female characters. Lady Macbeth, as you have mentioned geniouslea, is one of them. At this time, there weren't many strong female characters.
