I do keep cash money handy, but not very big ammounts. It is inconvenient to put big cash amounts in the pocket. So, when I have to make payments of some big amounts, I pay by credit card. Do you prefer to make payment by credit card or cash ?

Hi greenline. I do the same. For little amounts I prefer to pay in cash but for big amounts I pay with credit card. For women isn't a problem have a big amount in our bags LOL but is dangerous walking with big amounts in the bag. Have a nice day greenline.

Oh dear! I'm not rich I need work to live LOL and always did it. What I mean is that women carry big hand bags that make easy put big packages in it LOL. But is dangerous for who can does it. It is what I want to say, not that I carry or have lots of money. Sorry if I don't explain it well first. Hugs friend.

Hello, my friend. I do not have any credit cards, though i know it is very convenient to have one. In your kind of work, it does matter to have a credit card with all your business transactions that involve large amounts of money. For me it would be nice to have a credit card but the interest is too much of a burden for me. I would prefer to use a credit card during emergencies only when i really don't have any cash in my pocket. But as i have said, i can't keep up with the interests so i'd rather not use one. Hope you have a good day, dear friend!

Hi Sweetie. Nice to see you. Yes, you are right, the interest rates are quite high in using credit cards. If possible , better to use just cash. Have a pleasant day my dear friend !

I try to pay with cash everytime. Credit cards can sometimes be a real pain in the behind. Lol. I really don't mind if I pay by cash, even if it's a big amount mainly because I don't want to spend oodles of money paying for the interest on a credit card.

Yeah, if the amount charged is huge , interests can be really frightening !

I would always prefer to pay in cash. But keeping a large sum of cash on me for purchases such as groceries is not really a good idea for me. So if I'm buying groceries and other household needs I usually use my credit card. If I know I'm doing OK for the month I'll go ahead and write a check. But I would like to be able to always pay in cash. I have one credit card and I don't even like to use it.

Credit card, cause nowadays is too dangerous to have more cash on hand, also credit card can earn points. But need to have correct spending and limit control as overspend will kill ourselves and lead to bankrupt. Be careful.

now i prefer to pay by cash. paying by credit tend to create a false situation of my financial status and i tend to spend more than what i earn. i had chalked up hugh debts previously and only recnetly managed to clear them. now my motto is only pay by credit if there is really a need to and there are no options available for me to pay by cash. i max out my 1st credit card within 2 months due to reckless spending and the feel good factor in using a card. i could not control the spending and failed to monitor. so now, whenever i go, i would carry sufficient cash. if i need to spend a large amount, i would bring along my bank card and pay it through debit instead of credit. the main point is why spend if you do not own the cash. u still have to end up paying the money. worse, if u are unable to pay and once it accumulate, i can assure you that there is no stopping till you reach your card limt one day.

Yes, your reasoning is very good. I understand. One shouldn't spend more than what one can afford !

Can I say both? I like using my bank card. It is plastic so I don't have to carry cash , but I don't to wait for a bill, the money is out of my account and it is great.

I use my credit card when I know I can pay for it at the end of the month and there is no additional interest from charging the item to it. For smaller items, I prefer to use cash. For large items, I normally use the credit card. I use it more often for my travels because it's dangerous to bring lots of cash overseas.

Yes, I use credit card when travelling overseas too. I pay that back when I get back home, so that interest won't be huge.

I prefer paying by credit card, as I don't like carrying too much cash. Moreover, I can collect points if I pay by card; which I can exchange later for products or vouchers. And the other thing is that, I only pay when the card statement comes; this is useful when I bought something that I haven't planned for. At least I won't have to come up with the cash immediately.

Right, points you get are add-on benefit for using credit card. I collect frequent flyer points too which I can use for airline tickets. Have a nice day !

I prefer to pay with cash for a lot reasons, but mainly for 2. 1. If I use cash I think real hard before I buy anything, hate to hand over hard earned cash for something just because it's on sale or whatever. 2. In the state I live in we have a sales and use tax, we live on the border of New Hampshire where there is no sales tax, if I use a credit card or debit card the state tracks it and I get charged the tax when we file income taxes.

Yes, some of the credit cards give air miles for using them. Can enjoy free ticket when one accumulates enough points. I have travelled a couple of times with airmiles.

Just like you, I don't like bringing cash with me. I also use my credit card for my convenience. I only withdraw the money I need for my transportation and buying food when I'm at work or if I want to buy food outside for my family.

I would much rather pay for things by using cash, in order to eliminate debt. I am not always able to pay by cash, so then I will use a credit card. Credit cards can really get you in trouble, if you are not able to pay your balance off, before it escalates with finanace charges. I am now trying not to buy anything, because I am unemployed now, and I really do not need additional debt.

Yes, interest will pile up on the balance on the credit card the longer it is kept unpaid.

I would rather pay by cash. I don't even own a credit card. I don't mind carrying a lot of money around to pay for something. If I had a credit card, I fear that I would not be able to control myself when spending. Plus, when you pay by card, there is usually an extra charge.

I suppose, neither. I don't like carrying large amounts of cash and I don't own any credit cards because of interest rates and such. I prefer to use a debit card.

i keep some cash on me sometimes but i prefere paying with a debit card, lol i don't like to have credit cards, too easy to run up the debt, so i usually pay with credit card unless i have cash and don't need it for anything specific
