What are your favorite talk radio shows?

When I am on a long car trip, I find that talk radio keeps me occupied. I am a singer and even I think that too much music is annoying. It gets repetitive and when I am tired, it can even make me sleepy. Talk radio seems to make the time go faster on a long trip. I really enjoy call-in shows like Dr. Laura. My husband is into the political shows and even listens to Rush Limbaugh. A little Rush goes a long ways for me! How about you? Do you listen to talk radio? What shows or types of shows do you like? How about local radio? Any interesting talk shows locally?

Well, if you don't mind me chiming in again, this Topic seems right up my alley, working at a radio station! I'm an Independent/conservative and good conservative talk is something I love. -Rush Limbaugh sometimes...his wit and humor is just something you cannot duplicate. -Dennis Prager EVERY. DAY. The man is a genius, IMO, and is so intelligent, so real, and just a really great thinker. My radio idol right there. -Michael Medved - because he does these really different topics sometimes (is Obama the antiChrist? The search for Big Foot, etc.) and still does it very well... -Dr. Laura, of course, but we already addressed that. ;) -Glenn Beck. Being a college student, this should come second nature, but I just love that guy. He's sarcastic, provoking, smart, and tells it like it is. But my all-time favorite talk show host: Mike Gallagher. Loud. Brash. Even more provoking than Beck. Gets down to the point. Bashes the liberals left and right to the point that you laugh your head off. Real. Just...an entertaining guy. With no FM in my car's radio, all I have is AM obviously, so talk radio is all I listen to. Working at a conservative talk radio station helps. ;)

Wow. I guess I asked the right (get it) guy here, didn't I? One question though: Why no FM in your car? What ARE you driving? Is your station AM? wait....... That was 3 questions! Also....... You're not one of the guys you listed here are you?:)

Yes, that was three questions cleverly (sp?) disguised as one question. You could be a political interviewer, you know that? ;) Answers: I drive a 1995 Jeep. Great car for all the flooding here in Houston, horrible car for radio. It's weird, FM works when it's REALLY hot outside. I have NO idea why. My radio station, oddly enough, is one that carries three of the talk show hosts I mentioned. www.1070knth.com No, I'm not, sadly, one of the hosts I mentioned. Although I am taping a pilot show to hopefully air on KNTH on the weekends. But for now I hold the status of "Producer" and "Director" - a jack of all trades at the station, if you will. ................yep!

Went to your website to take a quick peek. While I am a conservative too, my husband would especially like your station. I'll tell him to check it out as I see he could listen live online. He loves Michael Medved. And I'm certain he loves all the rest too. We currently live in an extremely conservative area known nationally for its conservative college. Dr. Laura has spoken here many times. In fact she was here a few years back checking it out for her son to possibly attend (I know he's in the service now) Thanks:)

I always liked to listen to Dr Laura but we don't get her any more. I miss listening to her. She is so down to earth and pulls no punches. I used to listen to Rush but he is so arrogant I can't stand him any more. I do sometimes listen to Glenn Beck because he also uses some humor and not always political. I have a local religious station that I like to listen to. Listening to talk radio make doing house hold chores go faster too.

I agree that chores go faster when listening to talk radio. Then you are thinking about the conversation on the radio and not thinking about how much more work you have to do. Thanks!
