Product placement is out of control

It all started with "The Closer" you started to be able to read what she was drinking, then they started doing DIRECT shots on the product (example: soyjoy bar in last weeks episode; the panned down and showed the bar for about 15 seconds before she picked it up()....now in tonight's Heroes episdoe....in the desert the guy complains about no signal says he "should have gone with Sprint".

I saw the soyjoy bar in the Closer, but didn't really see it, if you know what I mean. The product plugs are getting ridiculous. I try very hard to not notice them. I am more interested in the clothes the people are wearing. I don't remember what show I was watching the other day, but the girl had the cutest large pattern houndstooth coat on. I will have to pay closer attention from now on.

The only reason I noticed the SoyJoy bar was because the week prior they did another - more bold - product placement where they actually said the name of the product and how the label clearly. Not like what they did - maybe still do - on NCIS. For years Gibbs has been drinking Starbucks, but if you aren't' a Starbucks freak and know the label, you would never notice.
