Have you or would you house sit for someone?

I really would rather spend my day at home, but my sister needs someone to stay at her house while she has someone there remodeling her bathroom. I will be spending the day alone, while the workman is there. I will be there from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon. I think I will bring some laundry, so that I do not feel like I wasted a day.
I really would like to help her out so that she does not have to take a day off of work.
What about you , have you ever spent a day or longer house sitting?

I have house sat for my best friend a few times, but that was when she was going out of town and needed someone to take care of her animals while she was away. I didn't have a problem with it because i would of just spent that time being bored at my own place. At her place i had animals to interact with, cable, and faster internet. LOL

I have never house sat for anyone but if you're really trustworthy sometimes house sitting for other people can pay really well. If I knew people that needed help during the summer months, I'd definitely do it because it can be nice money just so sit around the house or water plants and take care of a few animals.
