i am a good swimer. once i was swimming to a nerest lake. one of my good friend was trying to learn swimming. after few minutes he missed his steps and started to drawn. it was scary. i rushed to him and saw a lot of people screeming beside him and no one was comin near to help him. i tried hard to save him but he forced me to drown with him. after a hard time i juts manage to save myself and with him. a question may arise in my mind that is something happens inside you when someone is going to die. do you feel to save him.

That is why we teach people not to jump in to save someone who is drowning. Unless the person knows how to handle a panicing victim in the water, it often only leads to two victims instead of one. But your point is well taken, how do you stand there and let a person drown if you don't have anything to throw to them, or worse yet, you throw something but they don't notice it. As for the title question, I went pretty far in that I lost my health and my ability to work from protecting human lives. I don't know if I would do it all again if I had the chance, but I do know it was a great while it lasted!
