Do you get tensed for a telephonic interview more than a personal one?

I get more tensed in a telephonic round. I am much more confident if I have to deal with a person sitting in front of me. On phones I cannot make out what is the reaction of the opposite person to my question or answer.

I know what you mean. Not too long ago, I did a telephone interview and boy did I felt tongue-tied. I felt really nervous and felt my mouth get really dry. I even had to excuse myself a couple of times when I was explaining things lol. But it all worked out in the end because I was able to get the temp position. So I learned from this experience is to just to calm down and take my time.
