Have you changed your TV?

The trend for the TV has changed from those bulky, square, box to a slim LCD or Plasma TV. Have you changed yours? Are you already using the new generation of TV in your home. I have given that a thought. It is something that I want and not really something that I need at the moment. I am currently using a 29 inches Panasonic flat screen TV and it has been working fine with nice colors and good sound. To change to an LCD screen TV could have save some space in my living room but somehow that space saving does not outweigh the cost to purchase the TV in the first place. LCD screen TV is still expensive compared to the conventional TV and I rather wait for the time where its prices would go down just like what happened to conventional flat screen TV that used to be expensive once. How about you? Have you changed or planning to change? Do you know the advantages of an LCD screen TV compared to the conventional TV? Do you think it is worthwhile to buy one? Do you believe that by having an expensive TV would make people look up at you? Share your thoughts people! Cheers!

No, I have not changed my TVs. The oldest TV that I have is about 14 years old. And it works great, even after my oldest son hosed it down a couple of times! It's kind of like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going, and going! LOL My newest TV I got a few years ago. It's a flat screen conventional style TV. I see no point in upgrading to the new style of television when the ones that I have are still in great working condition. And with LCD's and plasmas being so expensive I don't see getting one any time soon anyway!

Hosed it down couple of times? Wow! That must be a great TV! Yup, LCD and Plasma are still way to expensive. I could buy more than one TV for that price.

I'd say it is! Who knew a floor model would still be going after all these years! LOL

I have 2 Tv's that are like 20 years old. One has the dial to turn channels, and the other one has buttons you push. But they booth hooked up to cable and work with the remote. So like they say "don't fix it if it's not broken"

I still have that same old bulky square tv! It gives me excellent service and so I am very happy with it. I cannot afford one of those wonderful plasma tvs yet, it's on my list of things that I want though! I personally don't care about what others think in relation to what kind of tv I own. I'm very proud to have any tv at all! I'm sure that there must be people that have never had a tv and have no wish to have one, perhaps they prefer to listen to the good old wireless! Anyway, no doubt I will pick up a plasma tv at some point in the future. Andrew

That's a good plan my friend. Hopefully the price would be affordable by then. I was thinking about that but that would be at least another year or so.

I could care less what people think! I have a old t.v. and I will replace it when it stops working. When I do that I am going for a used one, not a brand new expensive model. I have too many things I need to be spending my money on!

No, I have no plans at the moment, maybe in the next 15 years when it's cheap and when I have enough time to watch tv, right now internet is what's keeping me busy, I do't have time for tv, so I don't think it's practical to buy now.
