What do you prefer? Desktop or Laptop? I am about to buy a one, but am confused as to what to go for. I want your suggestions, from every aspect, how you feel like having one and why. Please state the advantages and disadvantages of both, and advice me on what to buy. Thank you in advance for your kind help!

Let's take the side of a desktop PC first. Desktop Pc's,i think, are cheaper in today's market. With that factor, you can easily build a perfect machine that would suit your needs. For most reason, a desktop pc is a good for gaming. For me, its more suitable to use a desktop pc for gaming due to the fact that you could create a PC with monstrous specifications like gigs of RAM, hard drive space, Processor speed etc. The bad side is a desktop pc is not portable. ================================================================================= Now, with a laptop. Often, laptops are intended for those on the go like students and businessmen. Laptops are a bit more expensive than desktop due to its portability. The faster it is in terms of processing and memory capacity, the more expensive it gets. For me, a student, a laptop is much useful for my academic needs(i.e doing homeworks and reading lessons) In the end, the choice is yours, what purpose will the PC serve? A student or a gamer, (or both??)? Think of it. *_*

Um yeah this is a hard one to answer for me as I am lucky enough to have both, I like the laptop because it is portable and I take it everywhere with me and can even go get into bed or go out into the garden with it and just surf the net but on the other hand the desktop is a lot faster and the hard drive is so much bigger so I store all my data on the desktop so I like both so I guess it is up to you really what you want to be able to do with it.

Mostly i prefer Desktop. but due top mobility laptop its good when im travelling or out of station. I will go always for desktop cuz i dont find userfriendly keyboard in laptop and the screen is too close to eyes that can harm as well. I know wireless keyboard and mouse is solution but i cant keep them always with me when im travelling.

I've always used a desktop. I've never had a laptop. Laptops however seems to provide more comfort as you can just sit back and use them while online. The best thing I like about laptops even tough i've never had one is they use less power as you can save money on your energy bill. Laptops can break and are more fragile though if they are dropped and are more expensive.

I would prefer a desktop as it is much more faster and cheaper. I work at home and I do not travel. Moreover it is dangerous to carry laptop around as it can get stolen. Both desktops and laptop has its advantages and disadvantages. To make the right choice you must decide on what you usage is.

well abhinav it all depends on your requirements,, if you just want it at home,, then according to me laptop has no advantage over desktop,, As you can a buy a very high tech desktop in same price.desktop components are cheap. So go for a desktop,if it is just for work at home,, but desktop has a very big advantage as you it acquire less space and you can easily move it, but i must tell you that desktops are much cheaper,,you can get high configuration desktop in same price, thanks.
