Are you Superstitious?

Do you walk the other way when a black cat crosses your path? Do you avoid walking under a ladder? Do you knock on wood? I never really thought about it much, but have noticed recently how many people I know, normally rational sane people who seem to be really superstitious. I've had a couple of black cats and never gave a thought to the superstition until someone asked me why I had a pet that was considered a bad luck omen. I have to admit I knock on wood sometimes, but that's the only one of the superstitions I follow, more from habit than fear.

as for me, i still could not remove the knocking on the wood. it's not because i believe in whatever it could do to me but it's like more of a force of habit, like a freudian slip if i would term it. but other than that i don't think i follow any superstitious. i love cats & i don't believe a black cat is bad luck. i remember one superstitious belief my aunt told me, not to sweep the floor during night time since the money/wealth is like brushed/sweeped away from the house. omg! i think i prefer a clean house than believing in such. :p

Yes it's like throwing salt over your shoulder, I don't remember why you do it, but the idea of it annoys me because after someone does it I'm the one stuck cleaning it up. Here's to a good luck kind of day, Happy mylotting!

My family is always believe in many supertitious beliefs. My father always telling us not to swept the floor, brush or comb your hair during night time or doing finger nails cutting at night coz it said it's bad luck. And also when you see a black cat cross your path, don't continue leaving coz something happen to you and etc.
Last night , im about to open my new umbrella inside the house, and my husband stop me said that it's badluck when you open it inside the house. Happy posting!

I've never heard of some of those, I think superstitions have to be one of those regional things, I have heard of the umbrella one and have broken it a few times, then usually because it's such a pain to get it out the door have to close it and reopen once I'm outside. Well, knock on wood, lets hope you won't have any bad luck today!
