water is yellow why?

i went in my native place in last vacation and it was very beautiful there, but the problem arise their was an drinking water, it was yellow nt totaly yellow a pale or light yellow, but dat is wat i cant drink in any condition, so i jst came running out of that village, but the problem is i m forced to go der again coz my long long relative is dead. and dad is out of town so its me who need to go der, so if any body can guide me thru procedure in clearing the water into pure please write me comment, as i m going for a weak i cnt carry water frm my palace.

Well its due to the mixture of mud and underground other pipes cross connections.

hmmm I am not sure i would be happy about drinking it, is there anyway you can boil some of the water for yourself, boiling it first may clear it a bit, maybe, you have to be careful of water, the people there maybe used to that water but if you are not you may get sick...
