attacked!!!

well my sweet adorable loving affectionate darling new kittens.. aka The Crites.. Fischer & Norah.. after sleeping all day long, had rampant bursts of energy late last night and Fischer booked it across the back of my skull leaving a few gouges from his claws in his hurried scurry. of course.. i woke up screaming from the rather large gash he put into my scalp terrifying mal. who else came running? my daughters feline, Rogue. who then proceeded to chase Fischer out of my bedroom, slapped him arond a bit, and then kept guard over my threshhold not allowing him entrance back in. his behavior surprised me honestly. ive known him to be viciously protective of my sprite.. but hes never come to my rescue.. prolly cause up until now, hes never been given the opportunity.. and i was touched by the action. hes also the only way i knew it was fischer and not norah since my face was in the pillows and i was unconcious at the time of the assault.. because she was laying at the foot of the bed with rogue..and he left her alone.. and only gave pursuit to her brother. i didnt have any other incidents with the pair the rest of the night.. thanx to my little furry guardian.. who stayed watch until i woke up this morning. such a good boy have you ever had a pet that would protect you throughout the night? did it surprise you as this did me?
