Everyday on the news I would always hear crimes like robbery, theft, fighting, drugs etc. Do you guys think this would end? Why does people commit crimes and why doesn't the upper ranked people stop it? I think if we could just look at the big picture and think about it, doing crimes are really not worth it and we should just persevere and continue living a good life. The world is really not fair, but we can change our future for the better. I would like to hear your opinions about this. Thanks and happy mylotting!

Honestly, I don't think people will ever stop committing crime/bad things, simply based on the facts that not everyone are well-off, when people get desperate they do desperate things (even if it means breaking the law), and this is just human nature. Yes, it is true that people are aware of the consequences of committing crimes/bad things, but something at the back of their minds convinces them that there is a possibility of getting away with what they do, and if they manage to get away with it, they stand to gain all the benefits waiting for them on the other side. While the upper ranked people or the authorities are doing what they can to curb all these happenings eg. posting stricter laws and punishments, people are still doing it because of the reasons outlined above. I guess this is just how the world goes, but indeed there are many ways to change this and make the future better; it is up to us to think of strategies to overcome this situation. But we need to also realize that not everyone will be happy to embrace such a change, hence not everyone will stop committing crime/bad things.

I agree, we all have different opinions and ideas. As we are all different we all take up different roles in life. As for the criminals although some would never stop committing crimes, I believe that there are also some which welcome change. I think some are just forced to do crimes because of poverty, so if poverty is decreased, crime would also decrease.

this is what some people actually call as "being human" basically if everyone thinks like you then there is no free will, free thinking and we will all be robots plus life will be way too peaceful but I am getting bored of this "being human" concept in fact I start to think it's bullsh!t and like all kinds of sh!t it has to be thrown to the garbage - then all kind of criminals should follow this sh!t to the garbage, including those at the top who are protecting them maybe then we will act like the human being we are

I agree, well as humans we get angry and do some things which are not good to others, but I think the anger must not come to the point where we should be criminals and do crimes.

I think this world is really distorted as said by Neil Dylandy aka Lockon Stratoss if I have not mistaken. Man can never change the way the world is but as an individual with self-will, one can do something to work away from that trend. This world can never be free from those evil acts as long as we live. Like the shadows that exist when there is light. We humans are the one casting shadows in this world even as we bathe in the bright light. This is one independent factor that cannot be changed. So its up to one's own thinking if he would commit those deeds. These crimes exist since the beginning, those acts against the law of mankind and inflict nothing but pain, for they are fueled by man's urge to sustain life without a clear view of the consequences they would bring. Even the authorities cannot help it for they are not merely 'crimeless'(new word?), because even within them, crimes happen, hidden as it is. My final word for this is... "Yes, no one is perfect that is why we aim for to be." So please, try to work things right.. Happy mylotting!
