This book has been really good and really hard to read and was wondering if anyone else has read it. It's about the secret society's of america in earlier times like the 1900's and stuff and it's really intense. The problem is that it reads like a bunch of newspaper articles put together to make a book. When it starts talking about the Rockefellers it gets really confusing because there are so many Rockefellers in the family and i'm not totally sure which ones their are talking about. Has anyone read this book or any other books about secret societies?

It doesn't sound like a book that would interest me at all. I certainly don't want something difficult to read or something that takes concentration. I am not into war or politics either. I want something to relax or excite me when I read. I really love Andrew M. Greeley's books. He has an "Irish" series of stories out right now. The last one I read, Irish Lace, went into great detail about the history of an area and the war and prisoners of war camp, etc. I thought I was going to die of boredom and wondered when they were going to get on with the "real" story. Fortunately there was more to the story than just that historical stuff but it took awhile getting there.
This one doesn't sound like it's for me.
