What do you think about child services like these?

I was reading an article the other day about a family that had their children taken away for suspected child abuse. Upon further investigstion, they were cleared of all accusations but some time later, have yet to get their children back! Why do they come to take the children so quickly needing nothing but an accusation, then take forever to return them? Now, this isn't the first time I've heard of unfair actions by the children services. First, I want to say, I am not talking about every child services office. I know some have surely helped children that were in devatating situations, such as abusive homes, molestation cases, etc. But, I'm speaking of those that are corrupt. I've personally witnessed the harrasment of such an office to a dear friend of mine. She had her children taken away based on mere accusations from a neighbor that she didnt get along with! The really terrible part is that they started this "case" and didnt close it after they found it to be untrue, they stuck around! For a few months! She is and was a very good mother. Her kids were always fed,clean ad loved. They really had no reason to be there bothering , but they were! Finally after jumping through thousand of hoops like a circus tiger, they closed the case. But, all of that emotional stress that was caused for nothing cannot be replaced. Devastating, to say the least, the power that these offices have! Have you ever experienced or knew of someone that has experienced anything similar to this? What is your opinion on these offices? Thanks for reading! and Happy Mylotting!
