Lose 100 lbs in 3 days

I have found the perfect diet!! I like to eat whatever I want whenever I want it… even if it’s chocolate cake right before I go to bed. But I also currently hold the belief that eating food makes me fat… hell, even thinking about eating food makes me fat! I prefer to believe that food is my friend, and that whatever I feed it, when offered in love and appreciation, will be effectively and efficiently utilized (with appreciation… and I love the feeling –and look- of my body appreciating me). I’m still working on that one - it’s a doozy - but in the meantime I figured I would do extended fasts to compensate for my belief in ‘fatness’. Boy, that worked marvelously at first, but then I noticed that by the time my next fast rolls around I am right back up to the weight I was before the last one commenced. Then I got the bright idea to fast once a week in addition to the 2 30-day fasts at spring and fall. I still think that’s a good idea as far as an exercise in self-control goes, but as a method of weight control it sucks… and not in a good way either. Anyway, yesterday I had some left-over rotisserie chicken that my sister made when she was here visiting. Plus I had 2 jalapenos, 1 long red chili pepper, and 1 habanero pepper – all from my garden. So, I mixed that all up with a whole bunch of mayo and some apple cider vinegar (with the mother in it). I chopped the peppers up (leaving all the seeds and membrane in) with some celery and onion to a coarse pulp and spread all that on some Lavash flatbread and wrapped it up. Man, I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into it! But HOLY COWS!!! Before I’d even gotten half-way through it I was sweating bullets, tears were rolling down my face by the bucketful, and my tongue had all it’s taste buds burned off! I couldn’t eat anymore of it! So now it is the only I can eat for the next few days because I sure can’t give it to the chickens, and I’m not going to throw my beloved peppers away. I am going to eat them. Plus after all that, I couldn’t even eat anything for hours afterwards because my tongue was so raw and sore!! The only thing I could do was drink the water I’ve been wanting to do, to soothe it. So now, I’ve decided… that’s the only thing I’m going to keep in my house; only the ingredients for recipes that require a 'brisk' use of chili peppers! I’ll use a ton of them in my Lasagna and get drunk washing it down with the Cabernet my sister left for me! Oh, and I'll keep plenty of those Andes Crème de Menthe thins around too. I wanna use the wrappers to paper my walls, so I gotta eat a few of those. OK, well, maybe I won’t lose 100 pounds in 3 days, but that’s a good thing since if I did I would be a skeleton with hardly even any skin. My computer is named 'Wraith' not me!! But I bet I lose 20 pounds by tomorrow morning! Anyone care to place a wager?

Only FOUR chillies? Oh my gosh!! I put three in my morning's "potato bhaji" today and thought they weren't hot enough. We are going to eat more chillies in the afternoon and some more in the evening. LOL!! You remind me of my German relatives. They came to my house, tasted our food, and burst into tears. Really scared the life out of us!! And then, of course, we reduced the number of chillies out of mercy for them. But I guess you are talking about weight loss here and not chillies? Well, I love the shape round. The earth is round; the trees are round; most of nature's favorites are round. So, I don't mind getting round. I certainly won't cut down food to turn flat. I love the well-rounded features. The artist Ravivarma loved well-rounded features too. I have never fasted, excepted once or twice (for religious reasons, believe it or not), and after that, I decided I won't fast even to save my life. ;) Well, I am sure you won't lose 20 pounds by tomorrow morning. For that, you ought to do all the boring things such as regular exercise and watching calories and what not. Anyway, if you do lose 20 pounds, let me know. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

I wish you loads of luck with the peppers. Unfortunately, I have very little luck with the peppers at present. The sweet potato plants look excellent, and I have plenty of beans and papayas, and spinach too. But somehow, I am having very little luck with the pepper. Just three miserable plants. :( Cheers!!

I have sweet potatoes that are looking real good too! I can't wait to dig them up! It took my pepper plants about 3 months to finally start growing! I thought they were not ever going to do anything... they just stayed the same scraggly small size that they were when I first planted them. Then finally just this month, maybe the end of last month, they started growing really tall and producing peppers! It's very exciting... I will always have them in my garden, I LOVE them!

No, you had it right the first time, this discussion is really about chilies, hehehehe, I am not even thinking about losing 20 pounds overnight, I just wanted an excuse to talk about my chili peppers! And you're right about the number of them too! By the next day I didn't even work up a sweat eating it! I'm going to see if I can dig my pepper plants up and bring them in the house for the winter... I have a huge plate glass window that sun streams into all winter long. I hope so because I think I am getting addicted to them!

Holy chili peppers indeed! I don't know if I should laugh or feel bad for you and your tongue. And you fast for 30 days twice a year? If you do this and with your self-control, then I'll wager monopoly money on you losing those 20 pounds in the next three days.

There is still that 1 percent! I am now thinking about your brother and his scales, wondering if this is the same brother who moved from California and if he brought the scales with him too. I rarely weigh myself now. When I was still into working out and dieting, I lost inches in my body but maintained the weight because of the muscles I gained. I did check out the Scoville Scale because of this discussion. And learned that hot peppers are considered super food by a lot of people. They contain a lot more vitamin C and they do help in weight loss. They help fight cancer and the spicier the pepper, the more you benefit from it health-wise. Sadly, as I grew older, my tolerance for hot stuff decreased.

I never even went up and got the scales! But no, my brother did not bring them with him, he has bought them since he was here. Brand new and they just sit up there in his apartment unused. But I am just not interested enough in weighing myself to go up and get them. I figure what I don't know won't hurt me! I only started this discussion as an opportunity to talk about my new obsession... chili peppers! I planted some in my garden and now I am using them. They look so beautiful dangling from the vine!!! I love every thing about them! I'm glad they agree with me!

Enjoy your peppers then. When I get to have my own garden, I'll have these on my list too.

Oh my you got me laughing here zigzag....and I was looking at that video link of that guy who ate the pepper.... I never had that experience with a really hot pepper but one time I got some kind of "gourmet" styled frozen dinner that was an Indian based recipe..can't for the life remember the name of the meal Uh...lets put it this way...I've had Cajun/Creole type food which is usually hot and spicey, have stomached most spicy Spanish foods, Jamaican..you name it...but NEVER in my life did I think Indian food was that hot--can't for the life of me figure out what kind of spice made it so hot, but I was doing the exact same thing that guy was dong in that video. I've heard Thai food can be hot as hell too. Mmmm..if ever I eat any Andes Creme de Menthe thins...I'll save the wrappers and send them to you...LOL..did you lose that 20 pounds??

Hehehe, positiveminded (up above) is Indian and she said they have chilies growing there that are hot enough to kill! That's funny because I must have always had mild Indian curries or something too, because I did not know they preferred them so hot either! She was making fun of my wimpy 4 peppers! I never weighed myself so I don't know about the weight, but I was only kidding really, I just wanted to talk about my peppers!

One cannot overlook the mind/bnody connection, so regarding food as your friend is a wonderful way to approach healthy living. Do you know that many people are overweight simply because they never learned to chew their food properly. Yes! The don't break it down enough so that their digestive system can further break it down to extract the nutrients the body needs, so the body craves more, and more, and MORE! Our bodies need nutrition. That is our furel. That is why no diet ever works in the long run. People need to simply change the way the think about food and use it for nourishment not as a combat sport. I'll wager you didn't lose 20 pounds overnight, but if you keep eating those lovely peppers you might lose a bit over time. They are good for you in many ways, albeit maybe not in excess. I prefer those dark chocolate mint cups they sell at Safeway. I really do have to stay away from those.

Yeah, I am one of those chomp chomp gulp people. I used to have a boyfriend who would still be chewing his first mouthful while I was halfway through my plateful! He was very skinny too! When he ate pancakes he would make sure he had a big dollop of butter on every bite, and he still stayed skinny as a rail. I used to tease him by drawing pictures of him as a stick figure wearing big ole combat boots & sporting a big ole d!ck. He was a big d!ck alright! Anyway, that is why I have taken up chopping my food to a fine pulp before I eat it... that way I don't have to remember to take the time to chew! Seriously though, my objective is not really to lose 20 pounds by tomorrow, my objective is to become a marathon runner by tomorrow. I am practicing in my mind right now as I sit at my computer drinking coffee and smoking cigs.

That is certainly not healthy and I seriously doubt you can lose over a stone in one day, let alone 100lbs in three. That's 7 stone in three days. I've seen someone lose 16lb in a week but they were very very obese.

I beg to differ. There is no way you could possibly know what is healthy for me. I take it you did not read my post though... I was acting like the National Enquirer with my 'shocking headliner', in the end the wager was for 20 pounds by tomorrow morning. But a prerequisite to bet on the game is a sense of humor and I would wager that you need to lighten up a bit yourself to be able to place a bet... care for some chili peppers or should I just cancel your subscription??

Down down down to the burning ring of fire. I would NOT eat the much spicy food. I wouldn't care if it sucked all the fat out and made my muscles perfectly defined and 10 times stronger then the governor of California. I would pass. I would imagine you could lose 20 pounds over night though. Sweat and waste. Easy. But whatever works for you darling, whatever works for you.

My mother once went on this drinking her own pee trip... using it as an eyewash, as a treatment for aching muscles, whatever. The next thing I knew my 2 sisters and brother were using their urine the same way! I couldn't believe it since we had all had a good laugh over our weird mother doing it! My kids and I felt like they had all had their bodies taken over by aliens! That is something I would pass on! However, I have temporarily lost interest in hot peppers. I didn't even grow any this year.
