I can type pretty fast, I think. I learned when I was kind of young and I took quite a few computer classes in high school. Almost everyday I get on the computer and I am usually doing some typing. I have never had my fingers hurt from typing though, up until a couple of days ago. I was typing some articles and I noticed that my fingers had started hurting so I took a break. I got off of the computer and washed and folded some clothes. I did some other cleaning while I was taking a break as well. I was off for about a half an hour to an hour and then went back to writing. I didn't have much more to do so I just finished up and my fingers didn't really hurt anymore. I was just wondering how many of you have had this before, because I have been using the computer for a long time and never had this happen to me before until a couple of days ago?
So have your fingers ever hurt from typing a lot? If so, what from? From searching, typing an article, chatting, sending emails, a combination?

I too can type very fast, about 50 to 60 words per minute so I guess you would call me a touch-typist. I can't say that I have noticed any pain though from my typing. It's good to take a break though if your fingers are starting to hurt you. I guess the best thing to do is give them a good stretch, and take fifteen minutes away from the computer. I think that this is just a temporary thing that you were going through though. I love to type and well, I hope that I don't receive any of those so called aches and pains. Happy typing. Andrew

Yes I love to type also, I just love to be on the computer. I also think that it was just a temporary thing. Like I said I have never experienced that before and I have been typing for quite a while now. Most days I can type for hours. 50-60 is about what I type as well. I don't know what you mean by touch typist though?

A touchtypist is where you can type without looking at the keyboard at all. Happy typing. Andrew

I feel that way also when I am working hard mylot and typing a lot here! Sometimes, when I am working with more than 100 notifications, I will end up that my fingers are numb and shouting for break! LOL!
So, I used to take a break and when I say break, I am not doing anything for my hands to relax and that will be like 15 minutes and then back to work again!
