What is he up to now?

I used to really enjoy watching David Blaine and being wowed by his amazing street magic but since he has started doing all these endurance stunts I am not so keen on the magician. If you haven't heard already, he is, as I speak, suspended upside-down at the Wollman Rink in Central Park. His plan is to remain there for 60 hours where he will be unable to sleep or eat and will urinate through a catheter. He has only managed to remain in this position for six hours prior to this attempt. There is a possibility of brain hemorrhaging and/or a stroke so he has his doctors on standby watching out.
What do you think of all this? Do you think David Blaine is amazing or simply crazy?

That just sends a big shiver down my back hearing about that, I know he is very talented but putting your life at risk for stunts is not my idea of entertaining, I am sorry call me a killjoy but I personally think he is a very crazy man, one has to ask him why is he doing it, for the fame, the glory or because he's just an adrenalin junkie, one day he will go too far and kill himself, it would be a great loss so why do it? I call it insanity myself.

Hi there wolfie34
I totally agree with you. Like I said, I love his street magic that he does but these endurance tasks he puts himself through, I am not a big fan. What is he trying to prove? Like you say one day he will kill himself and it will be live on tv for all to see!

I thought the stunt when he stood on a pole for i think two days may of been longer was amazing but he comes across as a few slates short of a roof and apart from his street tricks which i enjoy watching dont tend to watch his endurance tricks. Much prefer derren brown stuff.

I think he is a very silly man. but as I type, there is already compaints about this stunt as he is so I have heard on the radio that he is coming down for short breaks etc!!
Can't see this working if he is going to keep having breaks.
He is also setting a very poor example to the younger people
