I do sometimes write personal things about myself and my life on one of my blogs, and some of my articles are based on my own life experiences.
My journals and personal diaries have always been private, for myself alone. I use them just to keep a note of what I've been doing, and to reflect back on each day.

I started a journal for my grand daughter when my daughter told me she was pregnant. She is now 8 years old. I have several books full! And started one for my new GD now 2. I write about what they did, what we do, things they say, things that happen...I'll give them to them when they get married or maybe when they turn 18 or something - just before I die.. whichever comes first!!! Hope they enjoy them.!

I've been keeping a pregnancy journal that I intend to give to my daughter when she's older. I write in it every few days. I try to write only positive things in it, because I will give it to her. That's kind of difficult though because it's the main journal I've been writing in. I was thinking today that I need to keep a journal for myself, that way I can include all positive and negative things. When I journal, it always makes me feel better. I also like to go back and read previous entries or journals I've kept to see how I have changed.
