When I was a kid we used to have champorado for breakfast almost everyday. And until now we still have our champorado every weekends. Champorado or tsamporado is a sweet chocolate rice porridge in Filipino cuisine. It is traditionally made by boiling sticky/sweet rice and cocoa powder giving it a distinctly brown color. It can be serve hot or cold and with milk and sugar to taste and usually served with dried fish called tuyo. And some people I knew cooked it with coconut milk instead of the regular milk garnish with some fresh bananas or banana chips.. Happy eating..

Well, yes! especially if it's raining. But, I don't like matching it with "tuyo" or dried fist. I just want it pure hot with fresh milk.

I love champorado, though, when I eat it, I almost drown the entire serving with evaporated milk. When I was younger, I loved adding powdered milk as toppings instead and when the powder sticks together like some sort of crust over the porridge itself... YUM! I love eating it, especially when it's raining or the weather is cool.

Yes that one is still my favorite snack of all times. But I seldom eat it as they are really making me heavy already. Plus of course its not appropriate for me anymore.

You just made me hungry thinking of the sweet creamy steamy champorado. I can do without dinner if there is champorado. Excuse me while I go get some....

Yes, I love eating champorado when I was a kid and (occasionally) until now. Actually, I am fond of eating food preparations made from glutinous rice, and there are plenty of those in Laguna where I came from.
