How do one gets the star status and what does it mean

I have seen through discussion some stars with numbers, How do you get them and does they mean or affect your earning and participation here at mylot, is writing many discussion the reason why you get them, just wondering don't be annoyed with this question.

You will also have your own star when you reach one hundred out of your responses and discussions. I just learned that ten is the highest stars ranked.. Just keep on posting and do a lot of responses to the discussions to get your star soon.. Welcome to mylot..

You need to have 100 posts :) Then a star will come :D The number inside is the overall rating you have.. The higher the better off course.. Have a nice day..
