I really enjoyed this film, but it isn't a patch on the book. the book is very very good, much more use is made of the Nadsat slang, but it doesn't get at all confusing once you're a few chapters in, and the story has quite a bit more impact.

hey i didn't know that the movie was adapted from a novel...i know for one thing that books turn out far better than their movie counterparts...should get my hand on the book today itself.. anywhere i can get it from on the net...

I would have thought you could get it through somewhere like amazon. it's by Anthony Burgess.

ralphido It's me again..I have a couple of other movies that you might enjoy if you liked A Clockwork Orange. Maybe you've seen them, maybe not, but some are really cool and worth watching. 1976 - Taxi Driver 1983 - Bloody Kids 1991 - Man Bites Dog 1994 - Natural Born Killers 2000 - American Psycho These are all similar in type to A Clockwork Orange. Let me know if you watch them or if you already have watched them, I'd like your opinion..Enjoy!! J

It's my favorite movie. I love how it's serious but there's also elements of dark comedy. There's also the thought of do you want to be good or "right" because you want to, or because society wants you to. And plus you get to choose your ending as the book and movie has totally different endings! :)

I liked "A Clock Work Orange". I actually felt sorry for Malcolm McDowell when everything was turned against him even though he dealt out quite a bit of "Ultra Violence" himself at the beginning of the movie. The movie had a bit of a weird ending. Everything was turned out good for Malcolm and he was aces again.
