Have you ever experienced an Earthquake?

i havn't had the misfortune to be in an earthquake but i know some of you might have been.. the best i have had was when i felt slight tremors many years back while i was a young boy... we were all sleeping and suddenly the earth start trembling and we all screamed and ran out.. by the time we were safely outside, it had gone.. luckily didn't get to hear from it again... what about you..?
