How did you know how to read and write? Do you still remember?

Can you still remember who taught you how to read and write? In my case, I was taught by my father. He is a teacher to High School students and he really taught me well. Though he was very strict, I never fret because he has truly done a great job. How about you? Share your stories here?

Oh that was too long ago but I can still vividly remember that it was my father who did. Yes, he was the one and he even taught me how to write beautifully. And evidence to that is that my handwriting resembles that of my father's. I was also assisted by my older siblings so when I entered grade school, I already knew how to read and write.
