I have noticed that poor people have bigger family size. Do you think its a matter of choice or circumstance? What do you think?

I think that also that's the case of religion (be fair, rich people not always really belive...) since christianity don't alllow any birth control resources... Plus! If people are rich it's mainly because they are focused on their income, carieer etc. I also don't plan children until I have 40 and good job with fair income (if I ever plan! I don't like kids ^^")

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree with you that some church teachings does not allow to use contraceptives.

To be honest if it is anything it is a lack of education and access to the necessary resources like family planning and birth control. Nothing more and nothing less in my opinion.

While I think it also is because of lack of education, it also had become a way of life for some to have more and more kids as the more they have the more welfare checks they get. I do know one woman that was drawing more in welfare benefits than I was making at a good job, her reply to me was why work when I can make this much without working. First response said it was lack of family planning, I know there are places they can go to get help and for free, but it becomes a way of life and unless they have the will power to get out of it, then they stay in that life style and have child after child. We need to show them that they are better than that and need to show them how to get off of the roles and make a good life for their kids and themselves. Some women have been run down to the point they believe they are not worth anything. There is help for many out there they just have to learn how to find it or maybe we should target these people and let them know it is there for them. My opinion it is part of each.

The more children you have the farther your money has to stretch. A couple with no children making 40k a year will likely be financially stable. Add a few kids to the mix and this may not be the case. So, they may not necessarily make less, but have to pay out more. Also, as you have more children your opportunities to make more money can be limited. You may not have the time to get the education that could improve your income. You also may choose not to work extra days or overtime because you want to spend the time with your children.

I have not thought about the TIME factor. That's a good point. Time really matters. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
