You can't like wahat you are reading cause if you liked it you woudl not need to concentrate on it cause the time woudl just go by right fast. Why do you have to read this maybe you can try reading somethign that you like more. If you ahve to read it and dont' like it try to read less but more often and that mihgt help you cause it woudl be less pressure to have to get so much done that you can't do. Good luck

I practice Raja yoga which is yoga of the mind. One of the exercises I learned was to read something I had no interest in whatsoever. Force my mind back to it. Every time It wandered. This is to develop concentration. CONTROLLED concentration. It is easy to concentrate on what we enjoy. Another exercise is to take a common object and write down everything you know about the object. What it is where it come from what it is used for what its end will be etc etc etc. DO it for an hour. Write everything down. Then come back the next day and do it again.Look for things you didnt see the first time. I used a pencil the very first time I tried it and it would amaze you to think a pencil could have so many associations. Stick to the hour time. Do it for seven days. You will be amazed at the focus you will develop. If you find these helpful there are many others you can develop on your own to improve concentration and observation. If you concentrate on the exercises and observe what you are doing you will find the reasons why they work. ;) Good luck.
