I am addicted to Clearance Sales! I admit it freely, I love a bargain and prefer to buy early, rather than pay more later. If it's not going to go bad before I use it I don't mind storing something for a while. How about you? Do you buy something on clearance because the price is right even if you may not use it for a year? What's the best deal you've gotten out of the clearance aisle?

Yes I love clearance sales, and the best I have found is our Macy's store has a 3rd floor that has huge markdowns. I once got a $449. comforter for $40. and when we first got here from Louisiana after the hurricane we had nothing so my daughter took me there and I got all my beddign and pot and pans and quilts and my recipt said I saved over $400. on the items that I bought. When I go into a store I look for the clearance isle first. i find stores like Macy's Dillards and Kohl's have great baragins on clothes that have been marked down. They seem to have clothes that last a lot longer than wal mart or K mart brands. I often by seasonal things and have to wait till the end of the year to use them, but got them for practally nothing.

I'm the same for Holiday stuff, my husband keeps telling me we have enough wrapping paper to last 5 years, but every year when it goes down to 25 or 50 cents a package, I just have to buy it. And ornaments, most of the ones I use each year were my grandparents, but when I see ones that catch my eye on clearance I still buy them. I keep telling my kids that when they get out on their own, they'll have to buy their trees but I have the ornaments for them :)Have a great day!

yes last year I picked up wrapping paper that sold for nearly $4, a roll for 40 cents, I think I bought 8 rolls and hubby said it is a year till Christmas, well you know what Christmas is nearly upon us now and that is one item I won't have to buy. I also do a lot of thrift store looking, and I have found some beautiful Christmas items that people have given to places like Goodwill and Salvation Army.
Thank you for the best response, have a great day.

me kinda...when I go into a store, I always look for the clearance isle. It often has items I need or will need sometime soon. I don't look for clearance sales prior to shopping though.

There are a few times a year I go looking for clearance sales, right after the holidays is a biggie, and right now the back to school sales clearance is awesome, especially at Staples! I got binders last night for 50 cents each, they were over $4 last week. I also start watching them closer this time of year for a couple of "Yankee Swap" gifts for work. Have a great day!
