how do you describe pokemons?

Pokemon are very adorable and cute, but at the same time, mysterious and intriguing creatures. They seem to have some similarities with animals, for some reason. They have varying attitudes (from the timid ones to the nasty ones...), are in need of material things such as food and toys, and also non-material things such as love and care from their trainers.
