With new signings Jo and Robinho, coupled with Elano. DO u think man city is a force to reckon with? And with new owner promising to bring in good players during the transfer window, who do you think will be next to go to man city?

Manchester surely will be a new threat and i will not be surprised if they win the champions league in 5 years time.

Yes, they are a new threat. But i seriously think that they wont not mount a serious challenge to champions league. Well, one great example is CHelsea. From Chelsea, we learn that money cant buy success immediately. CHelsea did not win Champions league since they were taken over by the russia billionaire.

that is true. That is why i told you in 5 years time. The Adu Dhabi Group controls 10% of the worlds oil. They are far more rich than the russian billionaire. Its a group and not 1 person. Imagine like Abrahomvic with his billions x 20 other guys ...

Yup, they are far richer than roman. I heard that their family fortune amount to trillions. That is also the reason why Roman did not try to out bid man city for robinho, he knew the price will be too high to pay.

with right players to buy, manc city definetly will change to big team. it proven to chelsea. with money power, right players to buy, and good management, chelsea turns to become contender and start winning trophy

Yup, that may be the formula to success. But can Mark huges be the man to lead them to success. Chelsea has the formula and work it out because they had jose mourinho. But is Makr hudges comparable to " the special one"?

Man City will pose a threat to the big 4, but not the EPL title. I do think more time is needed for the team to gel, and they will seriously pose a threat to the EPL title next season with sufficient reinforcements and some team organization. But of course, considering the injuries troubles in the big 4, especially Man Utd and Chelsea recently, there is a possible chance of Man City slipping through and achieving top position. Matches against the big 4 will be important. Do expect Man City to contest for a Champions League ticket.

if in the future they add other stars in the team they could certainly fight for honours because today's football is like that.who can buy those players mentioned a few weeks ago with those prices?man city can buy them, all of them.they will do like chelsea did when abramovich came to chelsea ,he bought the best that he cuold and so even man city will try to do the same because money is not a problem

No, in my opinion because money isnt everything for a football club. Even if they spend another 500 million pounds on getting other star players, their team will not be co-ordinated and will be too full of stars so every star will be trying to show-off, just like how Real Madrid used to be. So, they wont be able to achieve greatness like Manchester United have.

i thnk they may play a part in deciding the title. it depends on how the big four fare against it. chelsea has already won against them away. i reckon they will pose problems for liverpool, arsenal and man u esp. when this is a derby. they may not last the whole campaign but they will get some points off the big four and this will make the title fight even closer. their latest link is Aguero of Ath. Madrid.
