Why do some people find it difficult to keep quiet while watching a movie?

Have you ever sat beside/behind/infront of someone so noisy while watching in a movie house? I have... several times, and i really don't understant it sometimes why other people would talk about the film while watching it. I mean its OK to react while watching, but to duscuss it and be loud? I think its a little too much. Why can't they keep it with themselves for the moment until the movie finnishes? What do you think?

excitment rises and people can't control their excitement and they want to express their grief or surprize and maybe that is why most people do it. i myself do not talk while watching movie.get time t watch one once in a blue moon :)

I think that some people simply have no consideration whatsoever for anyone else. I cannot tell you how many times I have been in a movie theater only to have the people behind me carry on about some nonsense that's occuring in their lives. If it's that important to you that you need to carry on about it while you are in the theater, then leave! I didn't go to see "Transformers" only to listen to two women talk about their cheating boyfriends. Here is another thing...it feels like a universal constant that no matter where I sit, someone will sit down behind me and start running at the mouth. I hate it and yet I feel trapped because 9 times out of 10, I get stuck by this person. What's worse is when you know it's not just you because people all around the theater making subtle "shhhhh" sounds. I have, on more than one occassion, asked the person to be quiet, and here's the really crazy part...they act like I am putting them out! WOW...people amaze me.

I'm pretty lucky that whenever I go to the theater I don't get many chatty types around me, maybe that's because I almost always go to matinees (for the price!) I have a friend who refuses to go to a movie theater for this reason. I do have to say that I don't like watching movies at home with my husband because he always has to talk in the middle of them. He's okay in the theater though.
